Silver City “Strand”

This unique placemaking project addresses three streetscapes connecting Silver City’s main downtown street to their central recreational resource, The Big Ditch. Employing multiple temporary and permanent tactics, the project will create seasonal vending space for local artisans and performers, while strengthening sense of place with interpretive murals, lighting, and seating.

Silver City Mainstreet is currently in the process of coordinating with local muralists and school groups to complete one wall mural and the intersection “ground-plane” mural at Kelly Street and Bullard Street.
