New Mexico MainStreet Institutes and Meetings

Training Institutes

Annually, the New Mexico MainStreet Program offers intermediate-level training Institutes in topics such as fundraising, volunteer development, design management, historic preservation, economic development, and tourism. These MainStreet Institutes feature specific topics that address the general areas of the Four Points, fundraising, and grant writing. The Institutes are geared toward MainStreet managers, board members, and committee members but are open to representatives of non-MainStreet communities as well.  Registration is required for all Institutes.

Quarterly Meetings

The New Mexico MainStreet Program and its affiliated communities meet four times a year.  Each quarterly meeting has a different theme or topic of discussion addressing one of the Four Points. The winter quarterly is held in Santa Fe in late January in conjunction with the state legislative session. The spring quarterly is usually attendance at the National Main Streets Conference. The summer and fall quarterlies are held in MainStreet communities throughout New Mexico on a rotational basis.  Registration is required for all quarterly meetings.

For more information about quarterly meetings, please contact Julie Blanke at Julie.Blanke@state.nm.us.
