On this website, you will discover New Mexico’s unique structure for revitalizing downtowns. Three statewide organizations collaborate to make New Mexico’s MainStreets strong. You will find information on how each organization functions and the role that it plays in creating a healthy network of MainStreet communities.
The core organization is the New Mexico MainStreet Program, which is housed in the state’s Economic Development Department. You can discover more about the Economic Development Department at www.goNM.biz
The New Mexico Coalition of MainStreet Communities, a 501c6 organization, provides advocacy and education on behalf of local MainStreet organizations.
The Friends of New Mexico MainStreet, a 501c3 organization, provides resources to our local organizations that the state program cannot provide because of the state’s anti-donation clause.
