Legislative Strategies & Information
The heart of the the Coalition of MainStreet Communities' legislative strategy is to recruit and educate supporters for New Mexico MainStreet within the New Mexico State Legislature, our local elected officials, administrators and other community economic development partners.
We also work with Governor Richardson, Lieutenant Governor Denish and our Cabinet Secretary of Economic Development Rick Homans to coordinate our efforts to build a strong statewide program.
The key to our legislative strategy is disseminating correct and timely information to all those involved in establishing the state's annual budget and who will provide the commitment to achieve our objectives during the legislative session and beyond.
The documents below contain important legislative strategies, info, talking points, etc. They are available for download to Coalition of MainStreet Communities members and our partners.
